Visit a Resident (Aged Care Facility)

Visits have to be booked in advance. Regulations have been put in place to keep our residents as safe as possible. Please read the instructions below before visiting our residents or clients as regulations can change frequently due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The regulations below apply for visiting aged care residents.

Visiting Hours

As of Monday, 20th of June, the visiting hours for aged care are as follows:

Monday – Sunday: 10am to 6pm (last entry)

A visit can be up to two hours.

Before visiting…

Book in advance on our website at ‘Contact’ – ‘Book a Visit’ or via this link: If you need any assistance, you can call booking staff at (03) 9760 2100. You can book a visit for up to 2 people at a time. A visit needs to be confirmed by our staff.

Preferably be fully vaccinated. If you’re not fully vaccinated, please let us know when you book your visit.

Get tested. Aged care visitors can do their Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at home before they visit, take a picture with date and time stamp and present to staff on-site. If a visitor does not have a mobile phone/camera, they can do the RAT on-site. If a visitor has a negative PCR test result within 24 hours prior to visiting, this will be a substitute for the need for a RAT.

When visiting…

– Please come on time. You do not need to come early. Your allocated check-in time starts at the time of your booking.

Have proof of negative Covid19 test (as described above) or alternatively do the RAT on-site. You need to show the result to staff during visit.

Document negative test result in sign-in sheet provided at every entrance.

Check in. (Electronic check-in.) All visitors need to visibly wear the sticker that they get after electronic check-in during their visit.

Follow infection control measures. Wear a clinical face mask at all times, keep social distance, observe strict hand hygiene. Follow infection control instructions by staff.

Stay in resident’s room or outdoor areas (e.g. garden). No visits in indoor common areas are allowed at this stage.

Visit virtually

You can also ‘visit’ our residents virtually via video (group) calls as well via phone calls. If you are interested, please contact our Activities Team at (03) 9760 2490 or at
