Our aged care residents had wonderful Father’s Day celebrations. First up was the Father’s Day Happy Hour with a glass or two of beer or wine for everyone and a tasty BBQ prepared by our lovely lifestyle staff. Our residents were quizzed about their knowledge in regards to fathers and everyone had a lot of fun. On Father’s Day itself, all of our (male) residents received a present in honour of this day. Look at all the happy faces!

Art Donation
We recently received a donation of beautiful paintings given our residents from the daughter a former volunteer here at Martin Luther Homes. The woman behind these pictures is Robyn Lorenz, a piano teacher who used to bring her students to play for us in the past. She also enjoyed chatting with our residents, both in the aged care facility as well as in the retirement village, as she could speak German.
Sadly, Robyn passed away earlier this year. Given her fond connection with Martin Luther Homes in the past, her daughter, Rebecca, reached out to us to donate some of Robyn’s oil paintings. You will surely agree that they are absolutely stunning!
This is one of Robyn’s paintings and it even comes with an explanation:
Here are more of her paintings:
You will now find the pictures throughout our aged care facility as well as in the Community Hall.
