Martin Luther Homes to represent Victoria at national Aged Care Awards

Martin Luther Homes is proud to represent Victoria at the upcoming national Aged Care Awards in New South Wales. After taking home the Aged Care Provider of the Year (Victoria) award, Martin Luther Homes’ CEO Birgit Goetz is excited to represent her home state at the national award ceremony in Sydney next week.

“Our unique Care Apartment concept is a winning formula for our residents who love living in their luxurious apartments that offer them space, privacy, safety and care at the same time. We are very optimistic that the ACSA jury will also be convinced of this success story”, said Goetz before heading to the conference.

The National Aged Care Award celebrations will be held as part of the ACSA National Summit from the 3rd to the 5th of September in Sydney. In addition to the award ceremony, many workshops and training courses will be provided. The delegation of the Martin Luther Homes leadership team are actively taking part in the training and networking opportunities, such as Customer Liaison Officer Evelin Martin. She is looking forward to making new contacts during her time at the conference.

“I always enjoy learning from people in similar roles at other nursing homes. I am interested in finding out how they improve their services and what ideas they have to make aged care an even more attractive option for potential residents”, Martin said.

In addition to being named 2018 Aged Care Provider of the Year (Victoria), Martin Luther Homes could also secure a spot as a finalist in the category “Innovation in Service or Design VIC”, an achievement that was based on the introduction of the innovative care apartments.

This week, SBS Radio has featured the recent success at the state awards. In an interview with the German Program, CEO Birgit Goetz also expresses her gratitude to her staff and board. Listen to the podcast here.

We are also excited to be featured in the latest edition of Golden Years, a publication with a focus on retired Victorians, which is published by the Ethinc Communitites Council of Victoria.
