Resident Advocacy Group

At the end of 2022, we have formed a ‘Resident Advocacy Group’ in our aged care facility. The idea behind this group is to have nominated residents who represent a household/area and meet regularly with staff to discuss topics such as new projects, ideas and general feedback. The group met for the first time in December last year and discussed different topics that are relevant to our residents.

The group has since met monthly. The feedback we got so far is very positive. Other residents can approach the advocate(s) of their area if they have any feedback or suggestions. The advocate can bring it up during a Resident Advocacy Group meeting. You find the advocates on the noticeboard in the different households.
