View this email in your browser Birthdays, Fundraising & Meetings Spring is officially here, the days are getting longer, and there has been plenty of sunshine lately. At Martin Luther Homes, we have made the most of the good weather by enjoying our beautiful surroundings and getting our daily exercise.  We have also celebrated Father’s Day, we have had many video chats, and the residents in our retirement village had a surprise door knock. Meanwhile, we are planning online Resident & Relative Meetings whilst our staff are charging ahead with their fundraiser for a Tovertafel. Did you know it is 'Dementia Action Week'? Our staff are now fundraising to improve the lives of our residents with dementia. Our goal is to purchase a TOVERTAFEL which is an amazing device, especially developed for people who have dementia. Please help us to reach the magical number of $15,000 by visiting our GoFundMe. It will be the biggest present for our residents, ever. Every Dollar matters! Thank you! R&R Meeting: Time to give us some feedback! Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, we will host the upcoming Resident & Relative meeting online, via a Zoom video chat. As always, our management wants to make the most of the opportunity to update you on the latest developments and to take your feedback on board. For relatives, please RSVP for the relevant meeting as soon as possible via email: oheuthe@martinlutherhomes.com.au Once you have RSVPed, you will receive a Zoom LINK prior to the meeting taking place. You can also forward any questions you might have to the email above. 29/9/20: Banksia / Tree Tops / Wattle at 11am  30/9/20: Doongalla / Bluegum / Hedwig / Care Apartments at 11am Usually, our retirement village gathers four times a year to celebrate everyone who has had their birthday over the past three months. Given that we have to keep distance and that we can’t dance on the tables right now, a real effort was made and every birthday boy and girl received a surprise gift balloon delivery.
