Martin Luther Homes is recruiting an experienced Physiotherapist on a full-time basis. We are an award-winning not-for-profit aged care provider, located in Melbourne’s east.
As our go-to physiotherapist, you will own this role and make a real difference in people’s lives. Your work would include the assessment of elderly residents who have had a fall, and the completion of fall risk and pain assessments. Therefore, experience in the aged care sector is highly regarded.
About the role
- AHPRA registration with a relevant Physiotherapy degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Significant knowledge of chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions
- Conducting functional patient assessments
- Providing individual one-on-one pain management treatments & rehabilitation
- Electronically documenting treatments provided
- Providing rehabilitation and falls prevention initiatives for residents
- Work closely with ACFI staff to ensure the appropriate level of funding is secured
- Focus on manual handling and safe working procedures for the workplace
- Clear communication with staff, families and health professionals
